NEW, ENSCHEDE, EDUCATION

The project consists of three phases.
Phase 1 is the construction of three pavilions and their connections to the existing building.
Phase 2 is the renovation and expansion of the existing building including the construction of a new entrance hall.
Phase 2 has been executed during the academic year. In order to limit hindrance for the different users of the building, a carefully chosen execution order and execution method were implemented. 
An open layout and large spans were implemented in phase 3, allowing for different types of education (e.g. project-based learning). The flexibility of the layout of this phase prepares it for the future, it allows for growth and new education types.
By using unique materials, shapes and slim constructions, a striking new building has arisen. The entrance hall has become a spacious invitation to enter the building.
