The new clinical centre along the Vondelweg has four storeys, with a technical compartment on top. The necessary parking capacity has lead to a parking garage with a larger footprint than the building itself. The main load-bearing structure consists of a concrete slab floor on broad weighted bands, with prefab collumns on a grid of 7,20 m by 7,20 m. The technical compartment has been executed as a steel structure.

The hospital, built in the sixties, has been drastically renovated and expanded. The biggest architectural intervention is the relocation of the main entrance and the addition of a new floor on top of the old outpatient department. These expansions have been realised with the help of steel constructions. As a part of this renovation, new floors for the technical compartment were constructed on the 9th level. On the other floors the necessary structural steps were taken in order to make new pipe ducts and new breakthroughs to create better accessibility.

The design for the Prinses Maxima Centrum for Child oncology in Utrecht supports the best possible care for children with cancer. 
The design consists of two separate buildings, each with its own function and structure. The LABbuilding at the north side, houses laboratories and parking and has 6 building layers (7 for parking). The ZORGbuilding at the south side has 4 building layers with a few mechanical rooms on the roof.
Between the two care departments, a two-storey 'bridge' has been built. There are also two equally high bridges at the connection to the LABbuilding. The ZORGbuilding is connected to the adjacent Wilhelmina Kinder Ziekenhuis (WKZ) also by means of a bridge.

Sophia Revalidatie

The building of seven storeys winds around a centrally located atrium, which functions as a meeting point and as a traffic room with walkways. The normal storeys were designed to be efficient and systematical, which allowed for a high construction speed. This approach of the design, allowed for a larger investment in the atrium, where a spectacular tree-like construction supports the roof, staircases and walkways. Bordering the atrium are a rehabilitation garden, an outdoor sports area, gym and swimming pool. From the beginning of the design we intended to give the new building, which is located immediately adjacent to the old building, a natural foundation. This allowed for a more economical concrete construction of the foundation and eliminated any hindrance as a consequenc of pile-driving activities.
